Bertie and Belle

It was the utmost mortifying experience we have been faced with. To be greeted with utter rudeness as soon as we walked in, we were speechless to say the least. We had the baby first hair cut package and my Husband and I had built up so much excitement for our first baby’s hair cut. I searched for the best in the business and Bertie and Belle were up there. However what we faced was horrendous. We had taken a day off work, taken our son out of nursery and driven 40minutes especially for this experience. We arrived at 10:42am and realised our son had a poonami, so darted into the superstore to change him as quick as we could. We then ran for the hair dressers. We walked in at 10:55am, 10minutes late for our appointment. We apologised as soon as we walked in and tried to explain what had happened. However, there seemed to be no understanding, she just cut us off, said she had plenty of other appointments that day. Couldn’t understand why we had changed our son’s nappy and not gone straight to the appointment to be on time and change it there instead. Then proceeded to say, you wouldn’t want me to rush the hair cut, I could but you wouldn’t want me to? We thought no, of course we wouldn’t and now we feel so uncomfortable and have been made to feel so guilty for being late and for putting our son first, it was awful. So I don’t think you can promote a first baby hair cut package when you had this staff member who can act like that and take away a ‘first’ precious memory for parents and their baby. Safe to say we would not recommend to anyone and will not be returning.

The ladies at the salon did a fantastic job with both of my kids. My son (3) got a very stylish big boy haircut, while my daughter (1) had her first bob done. No tears, no fussing, they both left happy and well looked after :) thank you!

I booked the car cuts (dislikes haircuts) option as my Son doesn’t like getting his hair cut and we are yet to find a place that deals with this well. Saw this place and thought it would be perfect as it’s for kids! The staff member didn’t have a lot of patience with him! He’s only 3! “Come on sit down we need to get on as other customers are coming in” we were still well within our appointment time. At the end he got a sticker but was also told “maybe next time you’ll be brave” Very disappointed and won’t be taking him back here!
