Pria is a talented nail artist, and her designs are undeniably creative, which is why I have booked with her on two separate occasions. However, there was a long gap between my visits, and unfortunately my second experience reminded me why. I did not find the overall atmosphere particularly welcoming, and communication felt somewhat difficult, especially during my most recent appointment. I requested a design based on one of her Instagram posts, with some colour adjustments. I also shared colour swatches for reference. However, before starting, there wasn’t a clear discussion or confirmation of the final colour choices. As the process began, I noticed some colours did not align with what I had in mind. When I raised this, I was reassured it would come together, so I chose to trust the process. Unfortunately, the final result was not what I had envisioned. Due to the layered nature of the design, it became difficult to address concerns partway through. When I expressed that I wasn’t happy with the outcome, a suggestion was made to add black to tone it down. While I appreciated the attempt to adjust the design, it did not resolve the issue. At the time, I felt somewhat uncomfortable pushing further, and I left the appointment feeling disappointed. Later that day, I reached out to ask whether the design could be corrected, as it did not reflect what I had requested. Pria kindly offered a follow-up appointment, which I appreciated and thanked her for. However, there was a lack of clarity regarding the cost of this second appointment. It was not communicated in advance that I would be charged again, and I was only informed after the service was completed. While I understand that additional time and work may warrant a fee, and I would’ve paid the same fee in a tip anyway since she gave me the time again, clearer communication beforehand would have helped set expectations. When I explained that the original result did not match what I had asked for, it was described as an “interpretation.” While artistic interpretation can be part of the process, I believe it is important for expectations to be aligned and agreed upon in advance, especially for paid services. Overall, while Pria is clearly skilled, I believe there is room for improvement in communication and client experience. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not return.
