Exceptional! Professional and made to feel at ease always. Joe is the most patient man and really engages the students. I would highly recommend (and have already, many many times) anyone thinking about getting lessons to try it out. We cant thank Joe enough for all that Black Lantern has brought us, and not just musically, socially and confidence wise too.

Joe has been teaching me for four years now; it’s been the best decision ever! Joe is a fantastic teacher; super patient and very skilled. He describes complex patterns and rhythms in a way I can understand. He is always so positive and encourages me to embrace and trust the process of learning (and failing), and I’ve loved every minute. Highly recommend to anyone!

My teenage daughter’s 1st taster lesson today after showing an interest in Joe’s music and what a fantastic experience it was. She absolutely loved it and things up pretty quick thanks to Joes guidance and delivery of the lesson. Definitely be back for more lessons, she can’t stop talking about it since 👍🏻
