Ive been coming to this salon for a few years & never had an issue. But they seem to have had a total staff restructure recently and it’s Mayhem since. I booked a tape extension refit online with a 20% discount - £80. Standard price. The day before Paulina whatsapped me to change the appointment time, which I accommodated. During that conversation, I also clarified to her that I have my own hair & if possible I’d like c25g of keratin bonds added (same hair they removed for me the week prior) at the top for blending and was told this would not be a problem. What she failed to mention was that my £80 appointment would apparently become a £700 appointment. After driving nearly 1.5 hours through central London traffic, paying the congestion charge and over £50 in parking and travel costs, I arrived to be told it would cost £450 to fit my own brand-new tape extensions and a further £250 to fit just 25g of keratin bonds. Which is LUDACRIOUS and the same cost as a set of a brand new full head of mini keratins. If that is genuinely the salon’s pricing, that’s their choice, but it should have been communicated before I travelled across London, especially after speaking with management the day before. I refuse to be robbed in daylight so I had no choice but to leave without having my hair done. £120 down, 3 hours of my time and ruined plans for the evening/weekend. I want to highlight that the hairstylists themselves were absolutely wonderful (as always). They were patient, professional and genuinely tried to help resolve the situation. I’ve never had any issues with the stylists and have always been happy with their work. I actually felt sorry for them that they missed out on the appointment and tip because of poor management and a complete lack of communication. It’s a shame to see what used to be a good salon go down the drain. Paulina is absolutely not fit to be a manager. Zero customer service skills or ability to think logically. Through her greed she’d rather lose a client that has spent & would continue to spend thousands with them than be reasonable and not try to scam people with £700 maintenance.
